This feature is back and now available in the newest iPhone app.

Along with the return ratings, the new app introduces SideShows a new, interactive way to watch TV!

    Thanks!

Agreed. Some of the show's I watch are from looking at the trending list. I think keeping them separate will work both ways.

How about implementing a runtime option for the show/movie while adding descriptions and posters for them, and having it coded to be within THAT time limit a show or movie could be checked into.

Example: -An hour Long television show while on air would be 1 hour.
That same show, commercial free, would be about 42 minutes. (on dvd)
-A half hour long tv show would be 30 minutes while on a network.
That same show would be about 20-22 minutes commercial free. (on dvd)

Within those time constraints, limit checking in to somewhere around a half hour for those hour long ones, and 15 minutes for half hour shows. There, making it less easy to spam shows, or any profiles in general.
