Allow for the reporting of users
This would allow those users who use the service as intended to report, or suggest for review, users who are spamming check-ins in order to obtain badges.
I only suggest this because there is currently one user who checks in multiple times to the same shows within minutes of other check-ins in order to obtain badges. This user now has over 1700 check-ins and most available badges. This user even spans the same comment over and over again when checking in.

This is true. There is one user who constantly checks-in and then deletes his check-ins to obtain the points and badges. He is usually #1 on all his shows and movies because of this practice.

I would however like to report a person who spams. There is someone following everything I write on one show, and they keep spamming HD links on my comment and everyone elses

There are also a lot of people who watch say a 30 minute show, and watch say 5hrs worth in a row, and don't "check in" for each and every show, but would like a record they watch. I know I check in after the fact a lot of times because I'm not going to check in every time I start a new episode.

How about implementing a runtime option for the show/movie while adding descriptions and posters for them, and having it coded to be within THAT time limit a show or movie could be checked into.
Example: -An hour Long television show while on air would be 1 hour.
That same show, commercial free, would be about 42 minutes. (on dvd)
-A half hour long tv show would be 30 minutes while on a network.
That same show would be about 20-22 minutes commercial free. (on dvd)Within those time constraints, limit checking in to somewhere around a half hour for those hour long ones, and 15 minutes for half hour shows. There, making it less easy to spam shows, or any profiles in general.

Sorry to hear about this! Miso does have limits in place to prevent gaming the system where only a certain # of checkins per hour and per day will count towards badges and points. However, we can't limit this too much because a lot of our users are power TV watchers and do in fact, watch a lot of TV. We are still working on striking the right balance and we are open to any ideas of how to make this optimal for everyone. :)
On a familiar note, if you do see any user abusing Miso -- please send us an email at support@gomiso.com and we'll review under our terms of use. http://gomiso.com/terms
Thanks!

i could honestly care less about people who check in to get a badge... BUT i would love to have a way to report users who SPAM the feed of a show and flood it with useless unrelated crap like the user tammywrigh did on "Your OWN Show: Oprah's Search..." just now.

I'm 100% for this. I don't understand why people need to check in to a Beethoven or Monty Python movie over 100 times. It's ridiculous, not fair, and makes Gomiso not fun without any healthy competition.

For a while now I've noticed many spammy profiles. I hope there is a way to report it soon. These badge farmers are incredibly annoying.
