Thanks for the idea, this is under review. In the meantime you are able to send private messages to followers in Miso now.

You can send messages at www.gomiso.com. Just click Messages on the left side of the home page. Here is a screenshot of what it looks like: http://d.pr/9npx
We will consider adding this feature to mobile apps at some point, but it is not used very much even on the web. Is this a feature you would use a lot? I would love to understand the value better. Please email feedback@gomiso.com if you want to chat more.
